چکیده
The research was based on a pot experiment in which the impact of increasing Cd, Zn and Pb doses content available trace elements soil compared. Seven series trials were designed: 1 (Cd), 2 (Pb), 3 (Zn), 4 (Cd + Pb), 5 Zn), 6 (Pb 7 Zn). Aside from control one (without metals), three levels contamination considered within each series. Mobile forms (Cd, Pb, Zn, Fe, Mn, Cu, Ni, Co, Cr) determined, addition to selected physicochemical properties—reaction (pH), salinity (EC), hydrolytic acidity (HAC), total exchange bases (TEB)—were identified while cation capacity (CEC), base saturation (BS) availability factor (AF) calculated. application Cd resulted an increase share potentially these metals their content. pots polluted with higher than control, range 17.5–20.0% for 62.8–71.5% Pb. In turn, mobile comparable most experimental objects, oscillating around 30%. Moreover, usually caused significant decrease Mn significantly Cr soil.

The concentration of Lead, Cadmium, Zinc and Copper in sediments of Ganduman wetland with geochemical indices
Sediments play an effective role in pollution control or water purification of the wetland ecosystem and record heavy metals contamination as an historical archive. Ganduman wetland is one of the top 10 birdwatching wetlands in Iran. This study aimed to to investigate the concentration of lead, cadmium, copper and zinc in Ganduman sediments. For this purpose, sediment samples were collected man...
متن کاملComparison of Trace Elements of Zinc and Copper Between Children with Giardiasis and Healthy
Background and Aims: Giardia lamblia infection is a common cause of food and water-borne diarrhea in non-sanitary communities. Infections are common in children, particularly in child-care centers, backpackers, travelers, and homosexuals. Zinc is necessary for the immune system functions. Zinc deficiency is associated with acute diarrhea. Copper is essential for the production of red blood cell...
متن کاملBlood concentration of essential trace elements and heavy metals in workers exposed to lead and cadmium.
The aim of the study was to determine blood concentration of essential trace elements (Se, Zn, Cu) and toxic metals (Pb, Cd), markers of antioxidant (activities of glutathione peroxidase (GPx), superoxidase dismutase and ceruloplasmin) and prooxidant processes (thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS)) in workers exposed to Pb and Cd. Forty three male workers of the lead-acid batteries d...
متن کاملIn situ soil treatments to reduce the phyto- and bioavailability of lead, zinc, and cadmium.
A study was established near a former Zn and Pb smelter to test the ability of soil amendments to reduce the availability of Pb, Zn, and Cd in situ. Soil collected from the field was amended in the lab with P added as 1% P-H3PO4, biosolids compost added at 10% (referred to hereafter as "compost"), and a high-Fe by-product (referred to hereafter as "Fe") + P-triple superphosphate (TSP) (2.5% Fe ...
متن کاملCadmium, copper, nickel, and zinc availability in a biosolids-amended piedmont soil years after application.
Concerns over the possible increase in phytoavailability of biosolids-applied trace metals to plants have been raised based on the assumption that decomposition of applied organic matter would increase phytoavailability. The objectives of this study were to assess the effect of time on chemical extractability and concentration of Cd, Cu, Ni, and Zn in plants on plots established by a single app...
